Post Types

Pain in the Tech contains posts of various types. Below is an explanation of each:

  • Pain: An issue or question that needs further explanation, analysis, or information. In short, anything that can't be figured out, causing frustration or confusion on the part of the user.
  • Gain: A positive explanation or analysis of something technical, explained clearly so as to be understood by as many people as possible.

"Pain" posts will typically have some sort of indicator on their status, IE: Unresolved, Pending, Resolved, etc. "Gain" posts do not normally need a resolution, as they are simply shedding light on something overly technical.
