Create New Google Doc bookmarkPosted by Matt Thommes on February 3, 2009 | Post type: Gain Creating a new Google Doc is something I do almost a dozen times per day. The standard approach to creating a new doc goes like this:
It gets a little tedious having to do this each time. We can eliminate these two steps by creating a "New Google Doc" bookmark, using this URL:
(Note: This only seems to work for standard Google Docs, not Google Apps for your Domain.) In Firefox, go to Bookmarks, Organize Bookmarks:
In the left pane, right-click Bookmarks Toolbar or Bookmarks Menu, then choose New Bookmark:
Name it whatever you'd like, and include the full URL as the Location (all on one line):
Now you just need to click the bookmark once, and a new doc will open up for you!
