Instead of first rotating the MOV 640x480 file with Movie Rotator and then using RAD to convert to AVI, I downloaded VirtualDUB at http://www.virtualdub.org/ and first use RAD to convert the MOV file to AVI and then rotate with VirtualDUB. This works out fine. Since the AVI files are so huge, I am thinking of converting back to MOV or some other, smaller, format.

I took MOV pictures in portrait mode on my camera, i.e., the picture is sideways in 640x480 format when displayed with Quick Time on my laptop. I have to rotate my laptop 90 deg. to view the picture properly. Rotated the movie with "Movie Rotator", which rotates only MOV type files, creating a ~480x640 MOV file (no longer need to rotate lap top). Then used Rad to convert the 480x640 to AVI and it chops off the top 1/3 of each frame giving me an AVI movie with all information lost in top 1/3. If Rad is used instead to convert the original 640x480 format it works OK and the AVI is 640x480 but laptop needs to be rotated. I need a program that does not clip 1/3 off the frames when 480x640 conversion is attempted.
